Whooops i bought Genting SP at a wrong price

It has been a while since i added stocks to my portfolio and guess what? Today i made a minor mistake buying Genting SP at a wrong price.

Nothing serious though. I wanted to buy Genting SP at $1.10 today but i keyed in the wrong number of shares when the price was at $1.12

When i made my second order, i forget to change the price of my order to $1.10 and i managed to add up another 2000 shares of Genting SP at $1.12 and Genting SP closed at $1.10 for the day.

From my previous Genting SP post, you guys can see that i have 14000 shares before getting the Genting SP rights issue. After the rights issue, i will have 16800 shares. With today’s slight mistake while purchasing i have a total of 18800 Genting SP shares!

Now let me see what’s my average price of my Genting SP :-

14000 shares average :- $ 0.794
2800 shares average :- $ 0.80
2000 shares bought on 22nd October 2009 :- $ 1.12

My latest average :-

(14000 x 0.794) + (2800 x 0.8) + (2000 x 1.12) / 18800 = $ 0.8296

Ok minor glitch today but i don’t really care as the difference of $1.12 and $1.10 is not that much and i am not planning to sell my Genting SP anytime soon.

Can’t wait for Genting SP to get their license for the casino from the Singapore government as this will surely send Genting SP to another high.

Currently i am still around 6200 shares short of my initial target of having 25000 shares of Genting SP and i will surely add more to my holdings when the right time comes. Good luck to all investors.
