The Dark Night - Heath Ledger the tongue master
The Dark Night is the latest Batman movie on the big screen. It is a must see. I saw this great movie last Saturday with my dad and sister. Mum wasn’t interested though. She sure regret one lah!
We watched this great movie in GSC and trust me it is a must see. Just couldn’t understand why i had to repeat it again and again that The Dark Night is a must see.
As usual, Batman (Christian Bale) will always be the hero come the end of the movie. Yeah, even my 2 year old cousin knows about that. What really mattered to me was the outstanding performance by the villain, Joker (Heath Ledger) really caught my attention.
Joker played by Heath Ledger really portrayed a mad psychotic man shooting excitedly at police van with a bazooka, joyriding in a police car and giggles as he takes the whacking. In short, Ledger really brought the anarchist out of the Joker.
The part which really caught my attention and many others was how the Joker used his tongue to perfection. The timing and the used of the tongue really showed that the Joker in The Dark Night is more cynical compared to the previous Joker actors whom are more clownish and playful.
That’s the reason why i name Heath Ledger as the tongue master not for his French kiss skills but for the freakish elements that he brought up with Joker.
The heroin in the movie, Rachel Dawes (Maggie Gyllenhaal) was somewhat disappointing. She was kind of stiff like a piece of plywood.
To be honest, i didn’t know that the person that acted as Joker (Heath Ledger) had passed away until my dad told me after the movie. It was indeed a sad story after my dad explained more to me of his passing.
Heath Ledger will always be remembered as the person that brought the best out of the Joker’s character. May you R.I.P Heath Ledger.
Good news for The Dark Night fans as Batman’s $155.3 million haul smashes previous records held by Spider-Man 3 including biggest ever midnight opening ($18.5 million, beating the $16.9 million earned by “Revenge of the Sith”). More records are set to tumble with The Dark Night.
