Still spend like usual during recession?

We have to admit that Malaysia is heading for a recession. Just couldn’t understand why some our national leaders still defy the fact of it.

Anyway, has the recession made you stop spending unnecessarily?

As for me, my spending habits have been the same all this while. Recession or not, i don’t really spend on stuff that i don’t need. Not being stingy but that’s me.

Take my friend as an example, where he bought a new Bonia shoes worth a whooping RM 500! His shoe condition is still better then my shoe is but he still went ahead buying an expensive new pair of shoe after getting his pay. Not only that, he spend another RM 200 on a belt itself.

Isn’t that crazy spending? Why on earth do you need a RM 200 belt for? I am using a China brand RM 30 belt and it does not make him more superior looking then i am! :)

Anyway, during recession we still can see that people are still spending especially when you go to those Big complexes like Mid Valley or One Utama. Do they ever feel the pinch during this hard times or are they living on credit?

One business that still is prospering no matter recession or not is the food business. That’s a never dying business because no matter what, people still need to eat right? :)

On the contrary, most of my money now is parked into investment. The saying by Warren Buffet, “Be afraid when everybody is bullish and be bullish when everybody is afraid”.

It’s time to get bullish! ^^

I am the same like you, Kampung Boy, “Recession or not, i don’t really spend on stuff that i don’t need. Not being stingy but that’s me.”

Yeah Loke. I agree with you. Don’t spend unnecessarily.

I also dont simply spend. But when i buy the things i want to buy, it usually will be expensive.

Why Bonia? You have to ask my friend’s friend then! ^^
