Standard Chartered eSaver - Closed my account

Written on February 16, 2009 – 12:53 pm | by Kampung Boy |

Seems like i am beginning to love oversea bank more this days! Although the title of my post says differently but that’s only the title!

I am closing my eSaver account with Standard Chartered mainly because the 7% Petrol rebate promotion ended on 31/12/2008.

I am ending this account not because Standard Chartered has done anything wrong (Customer Service must be improved) it’s just that they have come out with an account which is far better then eSaver! Oh yeah, another main reason for me to open this eSaver account not only on the petrol rebate but also on the 2.5% per annum interest which is calculated daily.

Main reasons why i need this daily interest account is because i need liquidity to buy shares whenever i need it most! ^^

Ok, now eSaver is closed but i am opening a new Saadiq Saver account with Standard Chartered. My next post will be on my new Saadiq Saver account. Stay tune!

    Hi,

Can you write something on Etiqa Takaful? They are quite active in promoting this product as part of savings plan with insurance. Hope you can elaborate more.

    Thanks! :)
