Samgang vs AmResearch vs OSK
Went to brother’s ck5354 blog and found a few interesting posts by him. I am making a comparison of a call on a stock by three different parties on Tanjung Offshore (7228). In short Tanjung Offshore is called Tgoffs.
AmResearch
AmResearch is downgrading it’s raing on Tanjung offshore to a sell with a lower fair value of RM1.11 per share based on PE. AmResearch made that call because of Tgoffs earnings for Q2 wasn’t impressive.
Conclusion : Sell with a target price RM 1.11
OSK
OSK also shared the same sentiments on Tanjung Offshore Q2 result which wasn’t up to expectations but is targeting Tgoffs at RM 1.74 with a Buy call.
Conclusion : Buy with a target price of RM 1.74
Samgang
I am not sure whether you all know who Samgang is but the owner of samgang is known with a nickname of samgoss. Personally i have met and talk with the owner of samgang as i always address him as sifu.
His blog is one of the best fundamental blog on how to pick on good shares at a good price. Not only he gives accurate call on stocks but his teaching on the importance of fundamental analysis (FA) is stock is simple but effective.
Anyway, Sifu Sam made a call on Tanjung Offshore a few months ago but he made a call on Tanjung Offshore warrant stock, Tgoffs-WA. If i am not mistaken his average cost for this share is around 0.70+. So for Tgoffs-WA to move, of course Tgoffs have to move. Rarely the son moves but the mother don’t move.
Conclusion : Buy with a target price of > RM 1.20
Kampung Investor’s Verdict
Out of all the 3 calls, who do you trust the most or who will you trust? As for me, my bet is on Sifu Sam to finish first ahead of AmResearch and OSK. Even before AmResearch and OSK made a call on Tanjung Offshore, he has slowly started to accumulate the shares.
Only time will tell.
