PB Day2Day Card your valued companion
Public Bank launched their new card called PB Day2day Card. The promotion that really caught my attention was the minimum age eligible to apply for PB Day2Day card is 12 years old.
Basically it is a debit card where you only can spend when there is money in the card. In short you can’s have any credit when you use the card.
This card also works as an ATM card which VISA platform on it. One can use the card over 29 million locations worldwide.
Most will be wondering what will be the benefit when we sign up the card?
Below are the benifits applying PB Day2Day Card :-
- 1% cash rebate on petrol
- 1% cash rebate on grocery
- Up to 1% cash back
- No finance and late charges
- Minimum age eligible will be 12 years old
- Smart Chip Security to avoid scams
- Free Designer Eco Bag (**Applicable to first 3000 approved card applicants with 6 retail swipes)
- All in one card (Dining card, traveling card, shopping card, pay bills, fund transfer, online purchase)
All good things must come with fees and charges as nothing is free in this world :-
The drawbacks for Pb Day2Day card :-
- For the free Eco Bag, a minimum of RM 50 per swipe will only be considered and it must be done 6 times!
- The fees and charges are quite high compared to normal ATM card
- The 1% cash and grocery rebate is from June 8th 2009 till Dec 7th 2009 . After that it will be 0.8%
- The cash back will go down till 0.3% after Dec 7th 2009
Conclusion
I will advice those that can’t control their spending to apply for this card as a Debit Card is always designed to control you from overspending. As for me, i wouldn’t need this card as i am discipline enough with my spending and i wouldn’t want to hassle my wallet with another card unless the card provides with a mouth watering promotion.
