As you all know, i have invested into SCOMIMR (7045) and SCOMI-LA (7158-LA). I have personally 15000 shares of SCOMIMR and 30000 shares of SCOMI-LA.
I have also written a post on SCOMIMR - Will it be bleeding love for me? It turned out to be yes, it’s bleeding love currently..
One of my friends called me asking me, what happen to Genting SP? He also asked me whether i have sold any of my Genting SP shares? I guess he is quite worried with the current price drop of Genting SP! From $1.30 high to around $0.90..

What will i do with my Genting SP shares?
Genting Singapore (Genting SP), the subsidiary of Genting Berhad, Asia’s largest publicly traded casino operator received their casino license from the Singapore government. This will allow Genting SP to tap the holiday crowd.
After a long lay off from purchasing any shares, i made a decision to buy in on GOPENG (2135) which is listen on the main board. Gopeng is involved in the industrial products sector.
Once again i picked my stocks according to those simple fundamental understanding about the company.
I guess most of Genting Singapore PLC (Genting SP) investors must be very jittery with the current situation on Genting SP. Many will be wondering how come Genting SP is being pounded this two days?
The main reason for the fall for Genting SP is very simple. Genting SP is doing a mandatory conversion of bonds into shares.
I made an earlier post on the profile of SCOMI-LA (7158LA) for some simple understanding on what does the loan stock of SCOMI-LA is all about.
Anyway, i have invested 30000 shares of SCOMI-LA at the price of RM0.12 and will be hunting for more if the price is right. 30000 shares of SCOMI-LA does not cost much as it’s only around RM 3600++
Received an email from my remisier about first phase of Sentoso IR that will open next week. Minister mentor Lee Kuan Yew also paid a visit together with Tan Sri Lim Kok Thay to the casino at Resorts World Sentosa.
The first phase of the casino will be opened on Jan 20th and seems to be in good hands.
Minister mentor Lee Kuan Yew toured the Universal studios, four theme parks and some of its hotels together with the Water World amphitheater.
Isn’t this good news for Genting SP? That’s why i am still holding my Genting SP tight tight and not letting it go what so ever.
To all Genting SP holders, fasten your seat belts for the grand opening. You will never be wrong in investing in Genting SP for medium to long term. ^^

I invested on Keladi Maju Berhad (6769) i think 1 plus year already. If i am not mistaken my average price for this stock is around 0.18 and i have sold all 50000 shares at 0.165 on this property counter.
About a week ago, i made a post on CITIBANK - Is this another chance to average down on CITIGROUP? Guess what, i take it on the chance where i manage to slightly lower down my average on my Citibank.
GENTING SP has been moving up steadily of late. As per today (28/12/2009), it closed at $ 1.24 at one of the highest point it has ever reached.
I was kind of surprised with Genting SP movement of late and i asked my broker at DMG on what’s the reason of Genting SP movement of late. She told me that there were rumors that Genting SP will be getting the license to open their casino very soon.
SCOMIMR (7045) has been my target for the passed couple of months. I have been accumulating slowly and guess what? I have made another purchase on SCOMIMR.
I added more SCOMIMR into my portfolio, on the same day i bought MAXIS. Didn’t post on my purchase earlier because i saved the screen shot of my transaction on SCOMIMR on my sister’s laptop.
I didn’t waste my time or money trying to apply for Maxis IPO as i have heard stories of unsuccessful and unsatisfied applicants of the Maxis IPO.
I even heard one of my friends applying for 20000 shares of Maxis IPO but ended up with only 600 shares. That is why i didn’t even try to apply. Didn’t want my money to be stuck so long while waiting for them to ballot them.
I received an email from my remisier on latest updates on Genting SP. One of the major updates is that Genting SP will be opening on time which is end of this year. This is a major boost for the company.
Not only that i have received two more latest update from my email which is :-
Resorts World Sentosa (RWS) announced ticket prices
Ticket prices for Universal Studios Singapore will be derived from an average daily ticket price of S$65. With this, we can expect 1) a bigger proportion of day passes and 2) good response to express passes.
They have better and higher expectations on the passes because it was earlier expected the ticket prices to be at S$70.
Hotel Room Rates
Room rates will be starting at S$ 400/room/night! It is a bit pricey from my point of view but nonetheless it’s good news for investors as they can make more money from it.
The drawback is that, people might be put off with the high prices of the rooms. One thing is for sure, new resorts with new environment will not stop people from flocking to Genting SP premises in numbers.
Conclusion
Everything is coming into picture piece by piece. It is like a jigsaw puzzle waiting to be completed. In my email, Genting SP is targeted as Trading Buy with a target price from S$ 1.11 to $1.25
Anyway that is not my target. I will keep it for a long long time. Just can’t wait for my ugly duckling to grow into a beautiful swan! ^^

I have added SCOMIMR (7045) today at the price of RM0.56 with another 4200 shares. That makes me a proud owner of 10000 SCOMIMR shares. Will i stop my collection of SCOMIMR after today’s purchase? The answer is NO! I will be going after for more if this baby goes south.
My latest average price of SCOMIMR has been brought down after today’s purchase :-
I got an extra 200 shares of Genting SP after applying for excess of rights issue the other day. I applied extra 1000 shares and i got 200 shares extra which is 20% of what i applied for.
After the extra 200 shares at $0.80 my total amount of shares of Genting SP has increased to 19000 shares.
My average cost now stood at :-
(18800 + 200)shares = 19000 shares
Average price the other day : $0.8296
New average price : $0.8293
Conclusion
I have now collected 19000 shares of Genting SP at the average price of $0.8293 and will be looking forward maybe to another 6000 shares if the price is right. Any of you got any extra from your excess applications?
