Bank SWIFT Code for Public Bank
Bank Swift Code is important when you need to receive or sent money to someone overseas.
The SWIFT code is useful as every single bank has it on codes. This will fasten the transaction of transferring of money as the banks will know directly which bank to send money to from the SWIFT Code.
For European banks, IBAN Code is used. For all Malaysia banks, SWIFT Code is used to identify the banks.
General SWIFT Code for Public Bank :-
PBBEMYKLXXX
Actually by just putting PBBEMYKL as the swift code is ample but the XXX is at times used to determine the branch of the bank. It’s ok either to put PBBEMYKLXXX or PBBEMYKL. No worries on that…
Like for Maybank, the Swift Code is MBBEMYKLXXX or MBBEMYKL. If you want a more direct Swift Code to a Maybank Branch in Kepong is, MBBEMYKLKEP.
Seriously, we need not get too direct with those Swift Codes. The general swift code will be ample.

Just to let you know, I just discovered that in the UK the SWIFT code is also called the Bank Identifier Code (BIC).
