5 main reason why i hate Proton

Written on May 29, 2009 – 9:40 pm | by Kampung Boy |

I am sure there are many unsatisfied customers of Proton out there. I don’t own a Proton but i won’t buy one because i hate them so much. Here are my top 5 reasons why i hate Proton.

Produces low quality cars

Low quality power window, broken door knob, leaking ..Even Proton cars are said to be lousy in UK. Enough said

High maintainence

After 3 years, you will need to spend money to repair your car. After 5 years you will need a specialist to repair your car. After 7 years need to send to Intensive care unit (ICU).

Poor Management

Making losses after losses quarter after quarter. Don’t blame management who else to blame? Latest result Proton posts RM 342 million Quarter 4 loss. Oh yeah, why didn’t you sell to me MV Agusta for 1 Euro?

Makes me pay more for foreign cars

Imagine an Altis is worth RM 110k while my friend working in singapore bought his at 55k SGD. Oh well, just to save Proton from dying, we have to pay so so so so much more for foreign cars.

Expensive

Don’t you think paying RM 60+k for Waja, RM 50+k for Gen2 and 40+k for Savvy is cheap? Our friends in Singapore is purchasing an Altis for 55k SGD! Please don’t convert as my friend is working in Singapore. Comparing dollar to dolar.

Conclusion

If possible please don’t buy a Proton. So what if it’s our national car? Unless you wouldn’t mind paying the money to get a junk.

I’d have to agree with you here. Proton has totally abused its position and made Malaysians pay more for cars than they should.

Perodua is much much better then Proton. I would recommend hands down to buy a MyVi or VIVA anytime rather then buying Po-tong…

    I mean Proton.

You call that abused Horizon? I call that rape!

after so many yrs, they are still not able to produce high quality cars. wondering what had the qa/qc been doing all this while

What do you think they were doing? They were busy putting money into their own pockets and raping the rakyat with the high prices of cars.

    As simple as that…

Why we still need AP to buy cars in Malaysia? Isn’t that ridiculous?
